Furniture business expand in Tulare

TULARE Sid upholstery moves in downtown Tulare and plans to expand services in South Street location. K

Sid Carter would relocate his business to 134 s. K St., a city-owned property, in February and will be selling reconditioned furniture and materials. Shop, founded by Carter’s father in the mid-1970s, will continue to offer upholstery repair services.

Moved, from 225 n. L St, is a sort of homecoming for Carter. The store his father served in the South K Street, across the street from the site of the future.

“I used to walk on the streets,” he said. “I always wanted to be part of the city centre.”

New Store Locations previously placed The uniform Shoppe. The building was donated to the city.
